We anticipate a soft opening in late spring/early summer 2026. A more formal community ribbon-cutting will be planned for Fall 2026.  

Not yet, but students are incredibly energized and eager to use the space. We will hopefully host the National Hillel Basketball Tournament and other late spring events in the new space.  

Access is managed thoughtfully for security reasons, but the building is designed to host invited guests, tours, and community visits. The café will be open to the general public, with systems in place to balance openness with safety and security. 

Yes. Tours for families, alumni, donors, and community partners are absolutely part of the vision. Tours can be scheduled individually or in small groups, depending on timing and building activity. Reach out to reception@marylandhillel.org with tour inquiries.  

The building includes: 

• Student lounges and gathering spaces 

• Classrooms and seminar rooms 

• Multipurpose and event spaces 

• A café and dining hall 

• Meeting rooms 

• Offices and support spaces for staff and student leaders 

Many spaces are designed to be flexible and used in multiple ways throughout the day. 

Yes. There is a wide range of naming and dedication opportunities throughout the building, including individual rooms, gathering spaces, and programmatic and infrastructure elements. In addition, Maryland Hillel offers a brick campaign that allows donors to leave a lasting, personalized mark.

The new Rosenbloom Hillel Center dramatically expands our ability to:
